Becky Lau

Becky has enjoyed music her entire life. Becky has often wondered if her “ear” for harmony was developed by the many hours she listened to her oldest sister play Carpenter’s albums in the early 1970’s. She sang at every opportunity while going to school in Murdock, Nebraska, where she also played clarinet in the band. More recently, Becky learned to play hand bells and currently directs the youth bell/chimes choir, Praise Ringers, at St. Mark’s. Becky’s profession is 401(k) plan administration and consulting. Time away from the office is spent with her beautiful daughter and pet Chihuahua. She enjoys gardening, watching movies, singing in the church choir and dabbling in songwriting. Becky is so grateful God led her to her church family at St. Mark’s and feels blessed to have the opportunity being a part of the 100 Voices music ministry.

Cal Peacock

There's just no separating Cal from music. At age five, Cal made his first recording and sang with his brothers Curt and Ken in a 4H trio. For many years they sang all over the state and in competition. From the 5th grade through the present Cal has also played the trombone including with a Civil war band from Fremont, in the "Enterprise" group from Lincoln which opened for Little Anthony and the Imperials at Civic Auditorium, and the "Chancellors" from Lincoln who played all over the midwest and opened for the "Association" at the Civic in 1969. He played in big bands and small club groups almost every week end for more than 18 years. He started playing the bass guitar in 1971 and it has been his "musical" love ever since. Cal has directed church choirs everywhere he's been and now directs the choir at St. Mark's Lutheran in Valley as well as being the leader of "100 Voices." He majored in music education at UNL and at Kearney but made the construction business his living. However, music, his church, wife Toni and family have always been his true life's focus.

Carmen Dau

Carmen's life has been filled with music of one kind or another while growing up in a very musical family. The eldest of three children, she studied piano and vocal singing from a very young age and often performed for civic and church affairs with “The Singing Starlets”, singing three-part harmony. Carmen attended Midland Lutheran College and got to experience many traveling opportunities with The Clef Dwellers and the acappella choir. Tours with those groups took her to the Caribbean, Panama and Cuba on a select USO Show Tour, and also on choir tours throughout the United States and Europe. She was honored to be the first Protestant soloist in the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris. Post-college led her to a musical group, The Singspirations, which sang in local churches with proceeds to the Martin Luther Home. Singing with MasterSingers for 26 years and with select choirs fulfilled her musical career. Carmen has been married to her high school sweetheart, Denny, for 44 years. Now grandparents to seven granddaughters and one grandson, they love nurturing and encouraging their four children and eight grandchildren. After joining St. Mark’s in 2002, Carmen was asked to substitute as keyboardist for the then Joyful Noise Praise Band. She is excited as the 100 Voices group spreads its wings in song with new and exciting ministry endeavors on the horizon!

Dan Stewart

Dan is a lifelong musician and has been playing guitar for more than 30 years. He got his start teaching himself how to play at age 13 in Beatrice, Nebraska. He later formed The Prairie Dogs with some of his best friends where they regularly performed at venues in Lincoln, Nebraska, such as the famous Zoo blues Bar. Dan works in sales, but his true love is for songwriting, his gorgeous wife and daughters and crazy son-in-law. He got involved with the band playing at church in 2002 and has been inspired by his own life and the life of the church in writing his music. Dan is also an avid gardener and shares his yearly harvest with the residents at Orchard Gardens assisted living as well as with the neighbors. His favorite part about being a part of 100 voices is sharing God's love and message through songs.

Mike Sip

Mike has always loved to sing. According to family members, he would sing along with the songs on the radio, or from TV during the Mitch Miller Hour and other music filled programs. He was exposed to the marvels of the music world after joining the men's chorus at Archbishop Rummel High School in the late 60's. With the grace and patience of a wonderful choral director, Judy Dyer, Mike grew in both ability and confidence. Mike has sang with the local Symphony Chorus and participated in numerous musical productions. He sings the Star Spangled Banner as often as he can as a tribute to fallen comrades from the Viet Nam war. Mike feels that God has gifted him a good ear for music and hopes that his talent for song will inspire others to follow their heart. Mike's goal in life is to bring an avenue of joy to others and is very thankful that God brought 100 Voices together.

Jim Kintsler

Jim is the drummer for 100 Voices and joined the group in 2008. The group is thrilled to have him and especially for their debut album.
