The band was formed when our former Pastor Clay Skurdahl talked to Cal Peacock about starting a group. It originally consisted of three men, and has evolved into the current band over the years. The band is known for it's close harmony, and our original music with a "folk" or easy country feel. The band's name was originally Joyful Noise. When we made our CD, we discovered another group that already uses that name, so inspired by Dan Stewart's song of the same name, we changed it to 100 Voices. The name 100 Voices refers to the people in our lives, both past and present, that influence: who we are, our thoughts and actions, and those who speak through us and shape us into the faithful, Christian people we are.

100 Voices typically plays at St. Mark's on the fourth Sunday of each month. The congregation of St. Mark's has given us unending love and support as the group has grown and changed through the years. The congregation has also supported us financially and it was requests from the congregation that encouraged us to write & produce our first CD. Danny and Cal decided that if we were going to do a CD, that it needed to contain original pieces. Once the process started, it just fell into place. A benefactor from the congregation provided the initial financial contribution to make the CD. It is our hope that we sell enough of our first CD to finance the second album, which is already in development. The band usually goes on "tour" in the summer months - playing for area churches during their Sunday morning worship.

The band has traveled to Wolbach, Fremont, Tekamah, Elkhorn, Fontenelle and also other churches in Valley, Nebraska. The band is also willing to play at private events, such as the 70th birthday party we played this summer where we played sets of 50's, 60's and 70's music. Everyone loved it and we packed the dance floor!

Our goal is to praise the Father, Son and Holy Spirit through our music ministry. We want to share his love and grace with the hope of touching and having a positive influence in the lives of our listeners.
